Trekking

Anjaw district offers some of the most untouched and breathtaking trekking routes in Arunachal Pradesh. Trekkers can explore pristine glacier lakes, crystal-clear and hidden amidst high-altitude valleys. The trails offer picturesque views of snow-clad mountains, lush green landscapes, and dense forests that remain largely undisturbed.

Along the trails, numerous freshwater streams flow gently across the terrain, adding to the charm of the journey. With its pure natural beauty and peaceful environment, trekking in Anjaw is an unforgettable experience for adventure lovers and nature enthusiasts.

Though a no. of treks are still being explored, Hoot Pass trek in Hawai is currently operational with proper camps. Treks that are expected to be made operational soon include the Thochu Lake Trek and the Khrawti Lake Trek.

The Jachep La trek opens up once a year (during Walong Day celebrations), that allow a selected few to trek with the Indian army on the Indo-China-Myanmar border. Additionally, several other major trekking routes are in the pipeline for development.
